Radon
Radon is an invisible, odorless, tasteless gas. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and is responsible for an estimated 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year. Consumers are encouraged to test their homes for radon. Test kits can be purchased in the Flint Hills District offices in Council Grove and Cottonwood Falls for a cost of $5.00.
