Welcome to the Flint Hills Extension District #13,
K-State Research and Extension Website

The Flint Hills Extension District is a branch of K-State Research and Extension.  Extension programs present educational information related to agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community development.

We serve the people of Morris and Chase Counties, and we have offices located in Council Grove and Cottonwood Falls.

Our philosophy is to help people help themselves by taking university knowledge to where people live, work, and play.  We work at being responsive to the needs of the people by focusing our resources on providing quality information, education, and problem-solving programs for real concern.  The information we provide is researched based and unbiased.

Position Announcement - FACS Agent

The Flint Hills Extension District is accepting applications for a full-time Family and Consumer Science Agent for the Council Grove office.  Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree with knowledge of Family and Consumer Sciences as evidenced by academic courses, professional development and/or professional experience. Leadership skills as evidenced by working with individuals, groups, and co workers. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals,groups, and mass media.  Benefit package includes sick and vacation leave. Screening of applications will begin February 27, 2017 and continue until the position is filled. This position is available on or after February 27. The starting date is negotiable.
